Just a taste of Summer from my home state of Washington. It doesn’t differ greatly from most summer fun, only the thermometer isn’t stuck over 95 degrees (until this week!) and you can be in the mountains one hour and skipping rocks on the shores of Puget Sound the next. I am so honored to have been invited to capture a summer family picnic with some Florida friends, their children and grandchildren at their home away from home in the place I love most.
These kids were so cool, and so fun and they have just about the most fun backyard in the world for kids! They hopped around on these hoppity balls until I thought they might just pass out…..then they jumped into the pool!
OK, this one is mine, but seriously, how could I not share? The kid loves these headphones and has been carrying them around the house for days, handing them to me to put on him every five minutes. I see turntables in our future…

This is my friend Emily and her little chickadees. This is part one of a two part maternity series. Baby number four is on it’s way this summer and it is going to be a surprise! Love it! I love to come up with crazy, silly and even wild ideas for photo shoots, but this one was Emily’s idea! I adore when clients come to me with their own fun ideas so I can put my spin on them and turn them into great memories. Just wait until you see part 2!
